Marvin is a Law Enforcement and Security Professional with a career spanning more than twenty years in the Metro-Atlanta area. He has gained vast experience in the areas of Criminal Interdiction, K-9 Operations/Training, SWAT/SRT, Undercover Narcotics Investigations and is an active Georgia POST certified Peace Officer, Senior Training Instructor, Firearms Instructor and Security Contractor for an undisclosed government ageny operating abroad. Marvin is also the owner and lead instructor for Phalanx Canine and Security Solutions.
POST certified Peace Officer, RADAR, LIDAR, Senior Training Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, Tactical Shotgun Instructor, Patrol Rifle Instructor, Low-Light Instructor, NPCA Narcotic and Patrol Dog Handler, U.S. Department of State Subject Matter Expert (SME) and certified DSORT/DSOT Explosives Detection Dog Handler, Detection and Patrol Dog Trainer.
Marvin has been working with dogs most of his life. Beginning with handling and training bird hunting and retreiving dogs and later moving onto detection, patrol and tracking dogs after beginning his law enforcement career. Marvin has attended numerous training seminars and certifications and has studied under the tutelage of Jack Robicheaux and Leroy Azlin.
Marvin trained, supervised and managed a Metro-Atlanta K-9 and interdiction unit for five years. During this tenure, he was responsible for identifying training issues, developing K-9 training solutions, monitoring and assessing K-9 teams and handling a dual purpose K-9. Marvin has been recognized as an expert witness in the area of K-9 operations and drug courier profiles.
Marvin has also been deployed to the Middle East in support of the United States diplomatic mission for over five years as an Explosives Detection Dog Handler and Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Marvin is the owner and lead instructor for Phalanx Canine and Security Solutions, providing training to civilian and law enforcement K-9 teams.

Marvin is a POST certified Firearms Instructor and served as the Assistant Range Master for a Metro-Atlanta law enforcement agency. He continues to provide instruction to various law enforcment agencies, as well as being available for civilian instruction. Marvin holds specialized certifications of instruction for most weapon systems you might encounter.
